I love exercise. I imagine most of you already think I’m crazy just from saying that! But hear me out. Its my passion, I really do love it. So much so that I became a personal trainer a few years ago.

While I don’t currently train any clients as I’m focusing on some different areas of my life, exercise is still such a massive passion for me that my life almost seems like it forms around it.

So how better to get started online than by following my passion! Moving the knowledge and passion I currently have from the real world and creating something online centered around it. Sounds perfect to me!

So WELCOME! To the birth of www.NoGymNoProblem.tv. It’s still very much in the development stage but things are moving ahead quickly. Its my way of combining my passion with trying to create something in the online space.

I asked myself (and I still do) while creating this site a few questions.

How can I help the most people?
How can I create work that I love doing everyday?
Can they be combined online?

These were what I needed answered and it’s my humble opinion that I can answer all 3 with NoGymNoProblem.tv. A site that is going to give home workouts to people looking to lose weight and tone up.

I invite you to follow along with this journey, and if you have weight you want to lose or want to tone anything up then please join the community (or revolution as I say in the site) because I want to share my passion with you all.

Thanks for reading

“Everyone has something they want to change. Those who decide to change don’t change in a day or a week, a month, or even a year. They change in a moment.”

I had the pleasure of attending Anthony Robbins ‘Unleash the Power Within’ seminar two week ago and this was one of the most power things he said. It was powerful because if we decide to believe it or not it’s still true. Change doesn’t happen over a period of time, it happens in a moment when we decide that something will or won’t happen anymore.

But why is this important to know. I believe it’s important to know because once you know and understand the concept, you can use it to great effect in your life. As Tony says there are things in your life now that you want to change, something that you want to be different in some way, to stop or improve. Once you realize that you hold in your hand the power to make that change then you can literally do anything you believe you can.

There were many great points to the seminar and I encourage everyone to attend, that is of course if you have something in your life you want to be better? something you want to change? Of course thats all of us, we all need help in different areas. What Tony helps you to do (along with some of his colleagues) is dissect your life into different sections and be honest with yourself as to which areas are great, which are just good and which are poor and then why you want to improve them.

Then once you have those, put in place circumstances that funnel you towards success. Making failure as close to impossible as possible. What he gets you to understand is that you must make a conscious decision to change. Then with that decision take action that drives you towards success. Making success inevitable.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy this little video on Tony Robbins

Networking definition by dictionary.com:

“A supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest”

Why network? What’s the point? Do you and I really need it in order to move forward? Well in my opinion the short answer is YES! Definitely! Your business will be a tiny shell of what it could potentially have been if you do not actively participate in networking!

I strongly believe that the fastest way for you to get where you want to go is to find someone who is already there and knows the way. If I wanted to travel anywhere in the world the first thing I would do is find someone who has been where I want to go and ask them (even if it’s an online travel agent). Someone who can help you based on their experience is always going to be a benefit to your business and life, that reason alone is big enough to warrant networking as often as possible.

Encouragement is also a great reason for networking. It’s very easy to feel alone in whatever your doing and knowing that someone is going through the same struggle, whether it be making a business work, relationships or anything is always a comfort and gives us the strength not to give up and push on harder, faster and stronger.

The third biggest reason to network is to increase your available contacts in any area. You may have 10,20,50 or 100 different areas of your business. Some you do yourself and some you outsource. However all need to be done and as quickly as possible with great effectiveness and efficiency. Knowing multiple people that you can call on for each area increases your options and allows you to interface with other people who may be able to share their knowledge with you.

My final reason why networking is essential no matter what type of business your in is that it opens new doors to new ideas and opportunities. Especially in the entrepreneurial world its very rare for a successful entrepreneur not to be slightly involved in more than one business or more than one side of a particular business. That means that their business may be flourishing but they are still diversifying and creating new opportunities. It may be in your interest to connect with these people and find out what opportunities may be available for you in the future. An internet marketer may also be a property developer. By networking with them it enables you to find out more and an opportunity may arise that wasn’t there before.

I network as much as I can, as often as I can. These four points above are my main reasons why I believe that a successful person, or more importantly a person seeking greater success than they already have, should be making networking with like minded people a top priority.

Thanks for reading.

WARNING! There is no video within this post. I warn you because what I’m about to say no video could emphasize the importance of. That message is… THERE IS NO TOMORROW!

Tomorrow does not exist. You probably think I’ve gone mad, what am I saying there is no tomorrow of course there’s a tomorrow, there will always be a tomorrow. But the truth is this… Tomorrow will NEVER get here! We live in the present, tomorrow will always be in the future and the future does not really exist! We live in the now and we can only ever live in the now.

Right, so why am I saying this? Whats the point of trying to prove there is no tomorrow? Well my point is this. If we don’t do something now, this minute this instant, this second! Chances are we might do it another time, or we might not. But if we do it now, then it’s going to get done, the task is going to get started, your idea is going to finally get off of the ground!

Now not everything can be done now. I’m not silly, you only have two hands (probably) and we all live busy lives. But there is a key factor between you, me and those constantly achieving success in multiple areas of their lives. That factor is, speed of implementation. The time it takes between discovering something and putting it into action. Speed of implementation is everything. Taking those first steps to developing an idea and making it a reality. It focuses your mind, releases your creativity and most importantly of all stops you day dreaming! It gets those great ideas out of your head and into action!

Like I said you can’t do everything now, and believe me (coming from someone who takes on too many opportunities at once) you shouldn’t try. But what you MUST do, what you must promise to yourself that you won’t let go, is that great idea. That idea or opportunity that comes up where you just know that this is the one. This is what I need to do, and then do it. Put it into action, write it down, draw it out, do whatever you must just to get it started! Don’t delay! “I’ll do it tomorrow” is the single biggest killer of great ideas becoming amazing realities. “I’ll do it tomorrow” gives the universe a change to hit you with something else that might get in your way. Don’t let that happen.

So, in closing…

What are you waiting for?!

The time is NOW!

If your like me, you’ve been spending your days trying to figure out the best way to work smart, so you can avoid working hard! ha ha. I don’t like to say it, but you all know what I mean. Hard work is exactly that, hard. It’s difficult it’s challenging and it’s easy not to do.

But…

Over the years it’s interested me more and more. I always thought that the guy who works smart will always finish ahead of the guy who just works hard. However, if you work smart without working hard how far are you going to really get?

As I’ve spoken about on my ‘About Me’ page, I’ve had the pleasure to meet some very successful people in the past year and those are the people that I always envisioned in my head as ‘work smart’ people. But after talking to them I started finding out a few things. I found out that a lot of them got up at 5 or 6am. That they worked so hard that sometimes they forgot to eat lunch! That they were so focused on their work that they missed sleep.

Now these guy’s and girl’s that are making it happen, many of them are already financially secure because of what their already doing. So why are they waking up at 6am and missing lunch and sleep to get more done and work harder?!… Well it’s because thats how they got there in the first place. They worked smart AND worked hard.

They worked on being as smart as they could with their work then focused on working on it as hard as they could. So now their making a success of it why would they stop? This was the most profound idea I had come across in a while. Combining working hard with working smart is in my opinion the number one, fastest way to making your endeavors, goals, dreams and life a massive success.

So that’s what I’ll be doing and I hope you consider doing the same.

Thanks for reading

The power of positive thinking and a successful mindset.

Will Smith, without a doubt one of the most successful people on the planet discussing why and how he has become so successful.

The reason I’ve chosen this video (because there are lots and lots of success and mindset based videos online) is because the way he talks, the words he uses and his communication style seems to resonate with almost everyone. He has a charisma that draws people to him and therefore people listen to what he has to say.

But once you start listening to what he thinks, feels and believes you can quickly see that he thinks about the world differently. He thinks about people, situations and life in a way that makes him stand out of the crowd and therefore has enabled him to create a sensational career and life for himself.

My point in sharing this video is this. Will Smith wakes up every morning believing that today, there are no rules. There are no constraints. There are no restrictions. His belief in this is so strong that it means everyday when he wakes up he knows that he is going to create something amazing. He has no doubt in his mind that today will be the best day of his life. He doesn’t wake up thinking that today he might do something worthwhile, or that the day might go well. You can see and feel from everything he says and does that he knows without a single doubt that today is going to be incredible.

His belief in his own mind and body that he can create anything is a mindset so finely tuned to success that everything he puts his mind to and works on ultimately becomes a massive success. Blockbuster after blockbuster, Men in Black, Independence Day, IRobot, I am Legend, The Pursuit of Happiness, Hancock, Seven Pounds.

Now Will Smith is a sensational example of a success mindset but he is definitely not alone. Just look at the related videos next to this one on Youtube. You’ll see other superstars like P.Diddy, 50 Cent, Michael Jordan all talking about hard work and a mindset for success that won’t let them fail because they know success is in there future, they have no doubt, they themselves have turned it into a fact.

These guy’s have all reached their potential with I’m sure more to come and they are all saying the same things! Focus your mind on what you want, believe it’s already happened and there’s nothing in the world that can stop you from getting there. They believe it, I believe it and if you believe in yourself and your dreams as much as they do then there’s nothing stopping you from achieving and living you wildest dreams… if your mindset is tuned to success.

Thanks for reading.

Meditation… Only for ancient guru’s and kung fu masters right?

Well… not exactly

I started meditation in February 2012 after meeting a few incredibly successful and inspirational people. But the amazing thing was even though many of them were running busy busy businesses and might appear to have a lot on their plate, they were so calm, centered and generally a pleasure to be around. The thing is, they put so much of that down to yep, you guessed it, meditation.

Never having meditated before but being open to trying new things and seeing the results of others made me decide I had to get involved. And WOW! I wasn’t expecting what was to follow!

I’m naturally a very, shall I say easily distracted person. Even while writing this article I have to continually refocus myself to get it completed in the right time. However just half an hour of meditation, and even though I’ve never done it before it calmed me, centered me and generally let my mind switch off and rejuvenate in order to spring into action!

Afterwards I found myself completely still, focused and not wavering to look out the window or see what’s the latest in Facebook land. I didn’t need my phone, so it stayed off for another half hour. When I say “I didn’t need my phone”, I mean that it focused my mind to realize that my life will be O.K, and possibly even better for keeping it switched off for a while longer. All that I need is me, and not to see if I’ve got a txt or who’s commented on my latest status. Those things almost became unimportant for a while.

The best thing I can do is be honest. I don’t meditate everyday. I find it hard to sit down, switch off and get it going. But when I do, I’m always better for it. Increased focus, calm mind, forgiving heart and self awareness and my greatest realizations when meditating and the time immediately afterwards. I recommend it to everyone, and for those of you who will say (because your always out there) “I just don’t have the time”. Find it, make it, schedule it, cut out something damaging in your life to do it and it will help you on your personal journey, wherever that may be.

Above is a video by Sanjib Mukherjee, an amazing man who has helped me understand the benefits to meditation. Take a watch and leave me a comment below to let me know what you think, thanks.

Motivation:- is a general term for a group of phenomena that affect the nature of an individual’s behaviour, the strength of the behaviour, and the persistence of the behaviour.

Motivation is personal. My motivation for what I do will be different to yours. But even though motivation comes in many different forms, the reason behind it is always the same. The reason we all need it never changes, we need it to keep us going. What is your motivation?… Sound familiar? That’s because for everything you do, big or small, in order for you to do it you need to be motivated. And the reason for that motivation will determine just how quickly, effectively and strongly you carry out your task.

Getting motivated is hard. I’m not going to say it any other way. Getting so motivated that you complete your task in record time, or you focus on it so much that your 100% committed is difficult. But if your motivation is strong enough, you can do anything! and I really do mean anything.

You have a dream, even if it’s not totally formed yet in your head, you have a dream. You have goals and aims that you want to achieve, and you need motivation in order to achieve them, don’t you? Because let’s be honest, if you were already motivated to do them, they would be done! So sometimes our own motivation isn’t enough, I know that’s the case for me… So I call in outside help.

Above is a video by Eric Thomas (ET), this guy is one hell of a sensational motivational speaker (for me anyway, he’s not everyones cup of tea). But if your looking to get fired up to the point of exploding if you don’t jump on your dreams and start them right now, then he’s your man! He recognizes the need to get motivated and inspired but with a healthy dose of telling you to get up, get out and go and do it!

Motivation is important, don’t get me wrong. You need good motivation to do something and great motivation to do it well. But! Motivation alone IS NOT ENOUGH. You have to use it, I’m going to say that again…you have to USE IT! To go after what you want. ET is a fantastic motivator, but even he will tell you to find the motivation, get the inspiration and use it to “get up, get out and go and get some” then “make the rest of your life, the best of your life”.

Facebook, Youtube, Twitter. The big three. There are many many more social media platforms but on a world wide scale these three are currently sitting at the top of the table. The ability to connect with anyone anywhere is the world within a matter of minutes by use of these different platforms have been welcomed with open arms by almost the entire world.

Facebook or ‘The Facebook’ as it was known when Mark Zuckerberg first created it in 2004 now has over 845 million users with that number still growing. With it being number 2 on Alexa.com’s traffic rank it sits behind Google as the second most visited website in the world. The power it has in the social media world is like no other and with Mark Zuckerberg being just 27 he’s fully in touch with the young generation and know exactly what they want, an they were crying out for Facebook.

Youtube quickly followed in 2005. The social media scene exploded with you now being able to share videos, the term ‘going viral’ appeared and clips like the evolution of dance and diet coke with mentos had millions of people watching the same clip in a matter of days. These multiple platforms online to share anything and everything meant that you could film a 30 second clip in your back garden one day and be known across the world the week after.

Twitter was then created in 2006. It wasn’t as immediately accepted as Facebook but it still took off quickly and millions couldn’t get enough of telling all their followers what they were doing every second of every day. It was very suited towards following famous people as trying to friend Richard Branson on Facebook is much harder than following him on Twitter.

But these social media sites and many more are a fantastic way to connect, share, post and use in your personal life as well as business. When I make a post on Paul-Matheson.com I post it on my Facebook fan page, let me Twitter followers know I’ve got a new post out they might like and of course the video is on Youtube as well. So the possibilities are endless and as these sites and others grow and develop the Internet and particularly social media is becoming a fascinating place to hang out and use to your advantage.

Online security is not something that should ever be taken lightly. We live in a new world of ‘drop your email address in here’ and ‘quick pay’ where bank details are typed in on your screen then shot somewhere else in the world to someone you’ve never met to process.

While there are companies out there specializing in security online you have to do your bit to make sure that everything your end is as secure as possible. Thats why I bought and recommend 1Password.

With 1Password it enables me to keep any details I need inside it while at the same time just needing one password in order to access them all! Trying to remember 20 different passwords and account names is just not practical from a memory standpoint as well as productivity and security issues to boot.

I’ve found 1Password to be easy to set up, reasonably priced and I can’t even explain how much it’s improved my productivity. Too many times I’ve clicked on that ‘forgot your password’ text and needed another one sent. 1Password has made sure that never happens again.

So visit 1Password and secure your accounts now.
